Mr Constantin Stoenescu, Secretary of State, Ministry of Labour, Social Solidarity and Families (MoLSS&F) will visit the Scottish Parliament with a delegation from the Romanian Government. The visit to Scotland is part of the Romanian Government's review of their social assistance services with the aim of adopting models of good practice from within Europe.The programme for the delegation's visit to the Scottish Parliament will include a briefing on Scotland's experience of devolution and a meeting with Gerry McInally of the Communities Committee to receive an overview of the Committee and to discuss social inclusion. |

A delegation from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, accompanied by Bill Speirs, Deputy General Secretary of the Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC) will visit the Scottish Parliament. The delegation are members of Initiative, which is aimed at encouraging young protestants in the North of Ireland to engage with political and civil society in a democratic and constructive way. The programme includes a presentation on "The Scottish Parliament and Devolution", a meeting with Iain Smith MSP (member of the British-Irish Interparliamentary Body) to discuss sectarian division and equality and a meeting with Sandra White MSP of the Public Petitions' Committee to receive an overview of the work of the Committee. |

This is a return visit by Swedish MPs, subsequent to an outward visit by MSPs to the Swedish Parliament during their recent referendum on joining the Euro. The main focus of the programme is an overview of the Scottish Parliament and its' experiences of devolution but also includes a meeting with the Presiding Officer. |
