New e-Procurement System - 'In-Tend'

Procurement Services is currently in the process of implementing a new e-Procurement system - 'In-Tend'.

In-Tend will be our primary system for all quotation and tendering exercises; it will also replace our current Supplier Database. In-Tend is not a prefered supplier list and registering your details does not guarantee that your company will be included in future procurement exercises. However it does ensure you will be notified of any requirements which may be of interest to you.

We anticiapate that In-Tend will go live from 30th July 2010 and the exisiting Supplier Database will no longer be in use.

Already registered on our current Supplier Database?

If you are a registered supplier on our current Supplier Database, you will have received notification to re-register your details on In-Tend. Suppliers can register anytime but, if you are an exisiting supplier on our database and wish to continue to receive notifications of future requirements which may be of interest to you, please ensure your details are registered prior to 30th July 2010.

How to register for In-Tend

If you would like to be included within In-Tend, please register your details by following the link below.

In-Tend Supplier website

Guidance for suppliers using the system can be found here.

It is your responsibility to maintain your details and update them within In-Tend should they change. You will be prompted annually to ensure the details we have at that time are correct.

As part of the SPCB's responsibility under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, the SPCB may be required to disclose any information provided by you, with the  exception of personal data which will not be released to anyone who makes a request under the Act.

Other database opportunities

The SPCB also uses the Public Contracts Scotland Portal for its advertising requirements.  This Portal is used widely throughout the Scottish public sector for advertising contract requirements and it is therefore recommended that you register your details on this Portal as well as In-Tend.  Contract advertisements exceeding the EU threshold can also be found in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). These can be viewed via the Tenders Electronic Daily website.
