Sexual Health

Purpose of the Group

1. To raise awareness and to promote a broad understanding of sexual health issues, both in the Scottish Parliament and elsewhere.

2. To provide a forum for discussion of ideas and new developments in the field of sexual health, and share information and expertise.

3. To explore and research developments in sexual health policy and practice.

Financial Benefits: £600 received from GlaxoSmithKline to cover the costs of a scheduled Festival of Politics event on August 22nd 2008, 'Keeping the Faith in Sexual Health'. Donation was made to cover costs of travel, accommodation and fee of invited speaker. Event was postponed as of 18th August 2008 due to speaker's illness. Agreement was reached between GlaxoSmithKline and CPG that the donation would go ahead as planned, to allow for recouping of financial outlay on postponed event (train tickets at £91) with remaining monies to be held for rescheduled event in 2008/09. Cheque deposited 18th September 2008.

Subscriptions: £10 per member per year for administration and meeting arrangements
