Sport

Purpose of the Group

To encourage the development of sport and sporting opportunities for the people of Scotland.
To ensure that sport has a high profile in the Scottish Parliament.
To influence Scottish Government policy.
To liaise with SportScotland, the governing bodies and other sports organisations in Scotland so that such organisations will be able to keep MSPs informed on matters affecting Scottish sport.

Forthcoming Meetings
Meeting on Thursday 27 November at 12.45 pm in Committee Room 3. The guest speaker will be John Scott, Chief Executive, Glasgow 2014. Anyone interested in attending the meeting and who does not have a security pass should in the first instance contact Peter Warren who will arrange passes for attendance.
