Remuneration:
 

I am a Director of a media company, Eala Bhan Ltd, of Feorlean, Glendaruel, Argyll PA22 3AH. As a result of the election my previously full time work for this company will be reduced to virtually zero. I receive remuneration for this work of between £1,001 and £2,000 per annum. I also have use of a leased laptop (Mac) and my wife also has use of a company computer.

I am the Director of Digital Glen Ltd of Feorlean, Glendaruel, Argyll, PA22 3AH. This associated company of Eala Bhan Ltd is a non trading company set up to pursue a project which did not materialise. This company does not and is not likely to trade.

On 28 May 2007, I received a gift of a painting from Don McNeil of a monetary value of between £501 and £1,000. The painting was by Don McNeil, an artist living in Newton, by Strathchan, Argyll.

In April 2007, I received a gift of between £501 and £1000 from my company Eala Bhan Ltd. This donation was for use in my election campaign in Dumfries.

I own 99.6% of the issued share capital in EALA Bhan Ltd, a media company. These are ordinary shares with a market value of £4980.

I own 90% of the issued share capital in Digital Glen Ltd, a non trading company for a media project that did not take place. These are ordinary shares.

On election I resigned as a Director of the Hill Adamson Photographic Museum.

On election I resigned as a Director of Aim-Hi Ltd.

On election I resigned as a Director of Skeklers Theatre Company Ltd, which is based in Shetland.

On election I resigned from membership of Lodge 1120, Kyles of Bute, which I had been admitted to in December 2004.

I am a member of the Scottish Episcopal Church associated with the congregations in Rothesay and Dunoon.

In April 2007 I donated an additional £650 to my election campaign in Dumfries.

On 2 April 2008 I was an overnight guest at Inverlochy Castle Hotel at the invitation of the owner to discuss wood fuel with a variety of local stakeholders in my ministerial capacity. The value of lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast is estimated to be £600. [Registered 17 April 2008]

From 15 to 21 July 2008 my wife and I were guests of Dennis and Glynnis Macleod at their home (on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada) and on their boat. [Registered 1 August 2008]
