Each office space divides into an outer area for the MSP's staff and an inner office for the MSP. The distinctive bay window seat and shelving, designed by Enric Miralles as a ‘contemplation space', can be seen behind the desk. The window's shape is said to have been inspired by an outline of the Reverend Robert Walker skating on Duddingston Loch, from Raeburn’s famous painting. The next stage of the online tour is the Donald Dewar room.

If you're planning a visit to Holyrood in person, information including guided tour details and opening times is available in our Visitor section.
