Irene Khan opened chamber business with time for reflection |
The secretary general of Amnesty International visited the Scottish Parliament today.
Irene Khan met the Presiding Officer George Reid, and addressed MSPs in the chamber at time for reflection.

Irene Khan took on the role of secretary general in 2001, the 40th anniversary year of the human rights organisation.
She previously worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Chamber business at the Parliament usually begins every week with time for reflection.
Speakers include representatives of Scotland's different faith groups, as well as those of no religious affiliation.
