A delegation from Ireland's Oireachtas visited the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 23 February.
The members of the Joint Committee on House Services are pictured with Presiding Officer George Reid.
The committee, which includes members of both
Dáil
Éireann (Ireland's House of Representatives) and Seanad Éireann (the Senate), has responsibility for Oireachtas services including its library, research and catering facilities.
The group also met Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body member Kenny MacAskill and Deputy Presiding Officer Murray Tosh.
Recent events linking Ireland and Scotland include a meeting of the British-Irish Interparliamentary Body in Edinburgh in November, and a previous visit by a Dáil
Éireann delegation in 2004.
The British-Irish Interparliamentary Body brings together parliamentarians from Irish, Westminster and other UK legislatures to discuss items of common concern. A cross-party delegation of MSPs took part in last year's plenary session. See pictures from the event.
