75 years of the SCDI marked at Holyrood

The 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) was marked at an event at the Scottish Parliament on Monday 8 May.
Presiding Officer George Reid welcomed around 200 guests to Holyrood.
Also speaking at the event were SCDI President
Tam
Dalyell and
its Chief Executive Alan Wilson.
The SCDI opened its first office in 1931 and is an independent network of around 1200 members, from areas including Scotland’s manufacturing and service sectors, local government and enterprise networks, professional bodies, arts organisations, churches, universities and trade unions.
