Visit to the Scottish Parliament

His Excellency Claver Gatete, the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, visited the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 24 May.

The ambassador is pictured meeting Presiding Officer George Reid, and was accompanied on the visit by the new Honorary Consul of Rwanda in Scotland, Gerda Siann.

The Presiding Officer represents the Parliament at home and abroad. His representative role can range from attending Royal functions and delivering speeches at international conferences to receiving delegations from countries and regions in Europe and beyond.
