African and Scottish choirs perform at Holyrood

The sound of African drums and song echoed through Holyrood on Wednesday 14 June when the choir of the Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) performed in the Parliament's Garden Lobby.

The choir from Limbe in Malawi visited the Parliament as guests of Presiding Officer George Reid and the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport Patricia Ferguson.
|

|
|
|
|
Children from Gillespie's Primary School in Edinburgh also performed. The school has links with Malawi.

|
|
|
Following their Holyrood appearance the Malawian choir took part in the St Magnus Festival in Orkney.

|
Also taking part in the event were the National Youth Choir of Scotland. |
