The latest edition features:

a report on the 1,000th petition handed in to the Public Petitions Committee. At an event on 4 October school pupils presented the petition to convener Michael McMahon.
The petition calls
on the Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to investigate the public health impact of cheaply available alcohol.

Public petition PE 989, by Colin Anderson, which calls for a debate on the issue of nuclear power.

A Members' business debate led by Cathie Craigie MSP on the Learn to Sign 2006
campaign, which aims to encourage people to learn British Sign Language.

The European Award for Languages event held in the debating chamber, including an interview with Sir Trevor McDonald, who presented the awards.
