John Smith Fellows visit Holyrood

A delegation from the John Smith Fellowship programme visited the Scottish Parliament on Thursday.

The group attended a question and answer session with Presiding Officer Alex Fergusson MSP, and observed First Minister’s question time.

The programme is run in partnership by the John Smith Memorial Trust, the British Council, and the UK Ministry of Justice.

It covers areas including governance and democracy, the role, regulation and influence of civil society in the political process, social inclusion, and human rights.

A delegation from the Fellowship programme has visited the Scottish Parliament annually as part of their programme in Scotland.
