Schools explore Parliament exhibition
2 October 2007
Pupils from Mossneuk Primary in East Kilbride viewed the Exemplification of Union in the Scottish Parliament
during the "A Union for a' That" education workshop yesterday.
The day provided them with an opportunity to see both the English and Scottish copies of the Act of Union, currently on display in the exhibition Making the Act of Union 1707. |

The workshops started in Edinburgh Castle, where they were introduced to the historical events leading to the Union of the Parliaments of Scotland and England, and undertook various activities relating to the coinage, heraldry and flags of that period.
They followed an architectural trail down the Royal Mile to the Scottish Parliament, looking at the buildings relating to the government of Scotland, including a visit to the old Parliament Hall.
