Text Message Service
You can now contact the Scottish Parliament by text message on 07786 209888. (Standard network rates apply.)
You can use our Text Service to:
- Find out the names of your MSPs - just by texting in your postcode
- Ask questions about the Scottish Parliament, its membership, business and procedures
- Request free materials produced by the Public Information Service. If you text PACK and your name and address, we'll send you a selection of our leaflets.
About the Text Service
Text messages sent to 07786 209888 are charged at standard network rates. If you require information on these rates, please contact your service provider.
Please note that we can only process text messages and issue replies from Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
We can forward messages to named MSPs. However, any further action, such as issuing a reply, will be a matter for that MSP. If you are contacting an MSP, please include your name and postcode with your message.

Promotional poster
We've produced a promotional poster about the Text Service that should print clearly on A4 paper.
Data Protection Act 1998: If you use the service you will be sending a message which may contain personal data to the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB). If your message is for an MSP, the SPCB or its agents may pass the message and any personal data to the relevant MSP. If your message is for the SPCB, it may retain any personal data supplied in order to respond to the message and to keep proper records.
