Tickets for First Minister's Question Time
First Minister's Question time takes place on Thursdays from 12:00 to 12:30. It is the most popular session of Parliament and demand for tickets is extremely high.

Booking tickets from Visitor Services
There are 58 tickets available for general booking. They are valid from 11:40 to 12:30 (you can watch General Question Time as well as First Minister's Question Time).
Group bookings: 10 to 15 people
30 tickets are available for group bookings.
The maximum number of tickets per booking is 15. If your group is larger than 15 you may be able to take turns to use the tickets. We take group bookings in advance

Individual bookings: 1 to 9 people
28 tickets are available for individual bookings These tickets can be booked one week in advance of the date of the session that you wish to attend.
These tickets can only be booked by telephone, one week in advance. We cannot accept email or in person bookings. The allocation is normally fully booked within 10 minutes of our booking line opening at 09:00. The volume of calls at this time is extremely high so please persevere until 09:10 to maximise your chances of getting through.

Returned tickets on the day
Visitors with a booking are advised to collect tickets by 11:40. Tickets that are not collected by that time will be allocated to those waiting.
Overspill room
Subject to availability, we can offer visitors a seat in a Committee Room to watch the live broadcast of First Minister’s Question Time on a plasma television.
This room is also used as the waiting area for people queuing for returned tickets:
- Tickets for this room are allocated from 09:00 on a first come basis.
- Visitors are seated in the room at 11:30 and if any returned Chamber tickets become available, these are issued to visitors in number order.
- At 12:00 any remaining visitors in the overspill room can watch the session on the plasma screen.
Booking tickets through your MSP
There is an allocation of tickets for MSPs to book on behalf of their guests, e.g. to respond to ticket requests from their constituents. You can use your postcode to find which MSPs represent you (constituency and regional MSPs).
